Team MJCET unveils new all terrain vehicle
The students of Mechanical Engineering of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) in Banjara Hills have fabricated an All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV) to participate in Mahindra BAJA SAE INDIA 2016. The vehicle dubbed EL FATEH (v2.0) has been designed, analysed, fabricated and extensively tested by the students in their college premises.Â
Hyderabad: The students of Mechanical Engineering of Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) in Banjara Hills have fabricated an All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV) to participate in Mahindra BAJA SAE INDIA 2016. The vehicle dubbed EL FATEH (v2.0) has been designed, analysed, fabricated and extensively tested by the students in their college premises.
Critical components of the vehicle like the roll cage, body panels, wheel hubs, knuckles, and suspension arms have been designed and fabricated in house while the CVT (automatic transmission), brake components and shocks have been selected after an exhaustive survey.
The vehicle will be up for display at the Mahindra BAJA SAE India event at the NATRIP testing track– NATRAX, Pithampur in Madhya Pradesh from February 16 to 23, 2016. The competition is divided into Static Events like Technical Inspection, Business Plan Presentation, Go-Green event, Sales Presentation, Design and Cost Evaluation, etc. and Dynamic Events like Hill Climb Test, Maneuverability Test, Acceleration Test, Braking Tests etc. followed by final Endurance race.
The team captain and driver Syed Furkhan Ali, co-lead Qamer Pasha & Syed Ateeq and co-driver Mohd Zia ul Haq are confident that the team will emerge as the winner at the event.BAJA SAE India is an event where the engineering students are required to design and fabricate a fully functional market class All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV) following rigorous standards, and compete against the harsh conditions of the testing track.
