Tips For Students To Remain Safe and Stress-Free During Examination

  • Eat regular, well-balanced, healthy meals. If necessary, consult your family doctor to supplement your diet with a multi- vitamin to prevent getting run down.
  • Avoid eating outside food during exams, being times for high-stress and low-immunity; children are highly prone for infections. So, avoid eating outside food as much as possible.
  • Avoid too much caffeine drinking too much coffee/energy drinks/tea/colas during exams can affect your sleep.
  • Some of your classmates may call you at home to ask for doubts. While there is no harm in helping them, be polite to them and if they are having too many doubts, ask them to come to your house and clarify things once for all.
  • In Exam hall don't leave your personal items unattended; rather ask someone you know to watch over them. If there's no one you know, then take your items along with you.
  • When going to write exams, don't carry valuables such as laptops, cellphones to campus, unless you are certain about the safety of where to leave your items.
  • Plan ahead of time; don't look for a place to leave your items in the last minute.
  • When using lockers, make sure that you lock it with a quality lock. Poor quality locks can be opened by almost every key.
  • Save your life, instead of saving money. If you know it will be unsafe to walk from the taxi rank to your house at night, pay extra and you will be dropped home.
  • Provide your parents your exam timetable, so they know which time they can expect you home. Always have your relatives/ Friends cellphone numbers on a piece of paper, in case your phone battery dies.
  • Carry a personal alarm with you (for example, Woman / girls can carry pepper spray).
  • Do not travel alone, always travel in pairs & do not accept lifts from strangers if you are alone, even if they are nice.
