The interpreters of Hinduism are arrogating themselves what should be the religious practices, how a rite should be performed among others though they do not have the qualification or the knowledge into the dynamism of the religion which is predominantly non-proselytizing.

Arrogate is a verb. The variants of arrogate are arrogates, arrogated, arrogating (verbs), arrogation (noun), arrogative (adjective). Arrogate means taking upon oneself about something on which he or she has no claim over it, to make claim on which there is no right. There are people who arrogate to themselves for getting something done though their contribution could be nil.

The TRS arrogated to itself the creation of separate from united Andhra Pradesh though the bifurcation happened during the Congress regime (UPA II). But this was validated by the people of Telangana: yes, TRS. Arrogative means making undue claims, making pretensions, someone prone to arrogance.

Arrogated is not only a verb but also functions as an adjective. In the adjective sense, arrogated means to claim falsely. Arrogate means to say unjustly that somebody thinks or acts wrongly. Arrogate refers to laying claim over something for oneself without right, to appropriate for oneself without right, to expropriate, to usurp. Political parties arrogate to themselves the developments in their midst though most of the times they were people’s initiatives.

People often arrogate bad motives to others. The opposite of arrogate is abandon, abdicate, relinquish. Arrogant is an adjective. You might have come across an arrogant behaviour of a family member, arrogant act of a politician, arrogant attitude of a country. Arrogant means someone behaving in a proud and arrogant way; when someone is arrogant it means the person is showing too much pride in herself or himself and with too little consideration for others.

Arrogant politicians, arrogant sportspersons, arrogant actors all had seem untimely exit from their fields for they could not recognise the ability, the skill in their peers and contemporaries. The variants of arrogant are arrogantly (adverb) and arrogance (noun).

Who can arrogate to himself or herself the credit for the creation of Internet? None. Because Internet is the result of collective efforts of many people and countries but few can arrogate a claim for innovating something with or without arrogance.
