A Rayalaseema Level Polytechnic students meet, ‘SWAGAT-2K16’ was organised in Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science at its campus in Madanapalle. Nearly 600 students from various government and private polytechnic colleges participated in events like paper presentation, technical quiz, cricket, volleyball and throw ball competitions.

Speaking on the occasion, MITS Principal Dr C Yuvaraj said that instead of settling for petty jobs after polytechnic, students can aim for higher studies and aspire for a brighter career. “Depending on the technological evolutions emerging in the industry, students need to plan their careers,” he added.

“Using the web, which offers guidance and opportunity in almost every field, students need to learn what is booming across the world and upgrade their skills and their opportunities,” he said. Dr N Kumara Swamy, Dean, Recognised Research Centre, emphasized that research progress in several fields of engineering is on the rise and the youth need to take part in the research. Students participated vividly in the competitions held at the fest, the winners were awarded, and participants were given certificates.
