It was the time of Winter season like nowadays. As Sun rises, the cold winds start driving here and there, birds were chirping continuously & silent pain hidden in this vast silence echoes. My phone alarm vibrates and interrupts my sleep and after continuous vibration, my one eye opened at last. I saw the time, it was 6.20 am, so thought still I have few minutes to sleep. Abruptly my mind reminds me of my placement drive at 8 AM &, at last, makes me wake up.

Still half portion of mine was covered with a blanket to protect myself from cold killing slow wave lines but I can”t protect myself from the thought to strike inside my mind,” about which I am passionate? What is my destiny, dream, & all such related thoughts.” The reverberation of such thoughts inside me continues till my friend hits me & told me that we were getting late so get ready quickly. Now the hindrances in winter season for (we) youth is getting fresh with cold water, this fear is terrifying more than the fire of hell. After self-motivation, I rushed to washroom and touching the surface of the water in a bucket like it passes electrical current & shakes my body from my toe to head. As my struggle ends with cold water; we rushed to the college where the company was expected to recruit the freshers in Bulk.

On the way to college, my eyes were wandering so fast and confusingly with the pace of wagons chasing each other. The most wagons were of students. I understood that lots of students will be in the recruitment drive. At the instant we reached the college there was huge rush of engineering students from variant colleges who will be our competitors in the recruitment drive.

The morning was full of cold breeze, so our ‘juend‘ (group) occupy that place of ground was the sunlight intensity was a little bit more. Instantly, empty stomach was hurting me but my mind was in a dilemma, with all the face of worries about me. Some cheering, greeting one another & gossiping about the students (“bhai uska placement hogaya”) who has been recruited by different companies in previous drives. After coming back from my reverie, there was a call from the recruiters. We went towards seminar hall and took seats. Students initiated talking in such a way that it resembles like buzzing of the bee. The dean of college entered into seminar hall and welcomed us soberly and detailed shortly about the review of the job. The description of job defines that it was a non-technical related job, buzzing of students increases and discussing the job profile.

I tried to listen to the gossips around the many groups of students, what I observe is the lack of destiny point? All were busy in counting the package provided by Recruiters and no one was bothering about the non-relevance of the job to our education profile.

Is that all we need is money and not passion where we can excel passionately and reach the top horizons and also becoming a pillar for uplifting the society. It looks interest has been replaced with the money irrespective of passion and the excellence.

After then dean of college provide some guidelines “when recruiters will present their presentation about the company and the job profile, no student will ask out-box questions and you have to act like that you are very well versed about the company”

And in reply to this robotic speech student nodded with YES that too in robotic mode. Stop a moment..! –Towards which we are leading my youth colleagues.

“Is this the purpose and motive for which we acquire an education ?

What is the answer: lack of opportunities or the education system that our country has adopted which has had created a void in education and excellence.Students are now becoming and behaving like the flock whose destiny is controlled and modulated by their shepherd.”

Now the Dean again started a discussion about company and recruitment. He started with coded words which we are hearing from years; and adds that: “recruiters should feel that you are passionate to work with them ‘you just act’.

Ohh..! We are technocrats not the students of any drama school.Where our path menders and seekers lead us (‘the youth’) – the youth who will be the future of the country.

When dean accomplish his coded speech — the buzzing of students started again. Now they were discussing how to react and express their thoughts in GD (Group Discussion). Some flock of students discussing that ‘we should oppose the thought of opponent’ so that it make an impression and may increase there Probability in the selection process.

Dear youth, the path we are striving for selection is the perfect route to excellence or not.

We can fool the recruiter but our inner conscience can’t be manipulated. We express the views which were not our own..! only for the sake of selection. And it doesn’t matter whether the Job is relevant or not.

The vision of technocrats of today’s world should be beyond this hypocritical attitude. Soon or later we are meant to create technology in future.! Our personality development is fatigue until thought process and vision is not on the right track.

Rise my Youth colleagues and excel your passion and passion will excel your desire and on whole world’s future (youth) will be excelled. As rightly quoted by Ralph Waldo Emerson‎:

“Passion rebuilds the world for the youth. It makes all things alive and significant”
