To commemorate Sir C V Raman’s discovery of Raman Effect, the National Science Day was celebrated with a difference through a weeklong programme by the children of Sister Nivedita School. The programmes evinced interest in students to know more about the space studies and the latest development in space technology through skills and demonstrations. 

Hyderabad: To commemorate Sir C V Raman’s discovery of Raman Effect, the National Science Day was celebrated with a difference through a weeklong programme by the children of Sister Nivedita School. The programmes evinced interest in students to know more about the space studies and the latest development in space technology through skills and demonstrations.

Children could enrich their knowledge about the occurrence of day and night, change of seasons, special features of the nine planets, successful launch of the Mangalyan and the Chandrayan.

Children looked impeachable as they dressed as Rakesh Sharma, Kalpana Chawla, Sunitha Williams, Tersy Thomas. While introducing, these astronauts motivated the students to pursue space science as professional studies.

A mini planetarium in school was inaugurated by the Director and the Principal of the school. With the launch of the space craft, children started their ‘Journey to the Space’.
