IMT convocation at grand scale

Institute of Management Technology (IMT) has organized its Convocation – 2016 at its campus at Shamshabad in Hyderabad on Monday.

Giving his convocation address, Mr Venu Srinivasan, CEO of TVS Motor Company Limited said the automobile industry had achieved 7-8 per cent growth with regard to four and two-wheeler sector and 15 per cent in the commercial vehicle sector. He said IMT was striving for spreading quality in management education. It was offering vibrant learning environment in terms of academic ambience backed by enviable education infrastructure and excellent placement support to students.

Giving IMT’s academic report, Dr Satish Ailawadi, Director of IMT, said the institute has been focusing on giving students a firsthand experience of current industry trends through continuous discourses from industry experts through various pedagogic innovations. This year the institute has signed MoUs with seven universities to facilitate research and teaching collaboration. These include Ecole De Management de Normandie, France, ICN Business School, France, FHS St. Gallen, Switzerland, Steinbeis University, Germany, Deakin University, Australia, Kasetsart, Thailand, and Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. IMT Group also became a member of European International Education Association, Netherlands to further networking and collaboration.

Dr Satish said placements for the fourth batch of the institute have seen more than 80 companies visiting the campus to recruit students. The placement season witnessed national and international job offers from companies from varied sectors such as Analytics, Consulting, Banking, NBFCs, E-commerce, Insurance, Bio-Technology, Credit Rating, Retail, IT & ITES, and Market Research.

The meritorious graduates were given gold medals at the convocation.
