Lien is a legal word meaning a charge on a property of a person for having a debt.Lien is the right to keep possession of property of a person (by a bank) until a debt owed by that person is discharged, or paid. Lien is the legal right of the creditor (the person who gives the money to another person) to sell the property of a debtor (the person who takes the money from another person or a bank) when he or she fails to meet the obligations of a loan contract.
