Speaking to the media along with Sri D. Muarli Mohan- Director and Sri P. Ratnakar- Assistant Director, Press Information Bureau, Hyderabad he said that there is a huge demand for the manpower in the plastic industry. “The industry needed around fifty thousand people per year, but only five to six thousand people are available”, said Kiran Kumar.
Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) was established in Cherlapally, Hyderabad in 1989 by Government of India. The main objective of setting up of the institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. In India, the Annual growth of plastics industry is recorded 20 to 30%. As the demand of manpower in the plastics industry is high, the courses conducted by CIPET are beneficial for the youth
The interested candidates can also apply through online at: www.cipet.gov.in or in person at CIPET, Cherlapally, and Hyderabad by paying cash of Rs. 250/- for General candidates, Rs. 50/- for SC/ST candidates.
The following job oriented and placement assured courses are being conducted which are recognized by AICTE:
Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT) which is 1 ½ Year course. The entry qualification is Three year degree with Chemistry as one of the subject – Max. Age: 25 Years*.
Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design (PD-PMD with CAD/CAM) which is 1 ½ Year course. The entry qualification is Diploma in Mechanical/Plastics technology/Plastics technology/Production Engg./Mechatronics/Automobile Engg/Tool & Die making /DPMT or DPT – Max. Age: 25 Years*.
Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT) which is - 3Year course. The entry qualification for the course is SSC/10th Pass – Max. Age: 20 Years*.
Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT) which is - 3Year course. The entry qualification for the course is SSC/10th Pass – Max. Age: 20 Years*.
SC/ST 5 Years relaxation
The last date for issue of applications is on 6th May 2016
Submission of filled-in applications is on 13th May 2016
All India Joint entrance examination will be conducted on 5th June 2016
