Labour Day celebrat​ions​ at Suncity School

1st of May is celebrated as Labour Day. Those who form the blue collar strata play a vital role in the shaping of our society on the whole. Taking a note of their contribution and to imbibe in fellow students a respect for labour and the dignity of these important members of our society an invitation was sent by the students of Suncity school to all the Bus drivers, conductors, housekeeping personnels and nannies etc. They were served ‘Lunch’ by the students. This exercise was done to create a sense of respect for all class, creed, religion and without taking into consideration their levels of achievement.

Ranveer Singh, Head Boy, Suncity World School said, “We are living in a nation that has the richest people in the world as well as those who are unable to fend for themselves. Every day our lives are affected by the sweat and labour of so many people around us. If we take out some time to appreciate their effort in making our life easier it would not only help in bringing a smile on their face rather it will also make us humble. Today’s event was carried out with the above motto.

Badri Lal, a member of the schools housekeeping staff expressed his pleasure saying, “It was a lively experience with the lunch being served by the students. We are happy to see the love and affection the children have for us.”
