Most people show a lot of thrill, enthusiasm, spirit and energy etc., initially/in the beginning of the project and with time, everything dies down. Why there are initial hype and subsequently things become flat, dull and lifeless? Is this problem limited to our mind (behaviour) and thinking pattern alone or it also extends to the biology of our existence?

All our behaviour and expressions are it positive or negative, have a strong root in our evolution. Law of conservation of energy is applicable not only to physical matter but equally applicable to all life forms as well. Every organ in our body and every species of life on earth tries to conserve energy. They do not want to waste energy. It is one of the evolutionary phenomena of every species.

Look at birds. During take off, all birds flap their wings fast and once they reach considerable height, they slow down the flapping of the wings or sometimes even completely stop flapping the wings and then soar in the sky. The birds of prey like eagle and kite, for example, do soar in the sky for quite long.

They do so only to conserve energy and not due to laziness. On the contrary, the people in corporate who loose the steam in the middle are doing so not due the above principle of ‘conservation of energy’. It is perfectly an act of laziness. Only when our body rests for some time it becomes energetic but quite opposite to that, the mind needs to work continuously with the task only then it becomes energetic. This we can see with all most all species of life on earth except man. Birds and animals even during rest are alert. Ants are said to never sleep. All animals take rest only for their body and not to their mind but man is quite opposite to the above norm. A man takes rest both to his mind and body. That is why he becomes lazy. Such laziness only affects the productivity of most of the people in corporate.

Understand the fact that one following the law of conservation of energy is fine but following the law of laziness is dangerous, although such behaviour trait might have its genesis in human evolution.

The corporate leaders must accept and accommodate certain behaviour traits as a gift of evolution. While accepting the above also must make the people performers. If the HR operates from the domain understanding and teaching, instead of blaming or punishing people for certain qualities to possess, they can accept its origin and also can make efforts to correct the same.

Biology, physics, evolution, human mind and body are certainly linked with corporate management. Hence the approach to understanding the details should not happen in compartments, it should be done in fullness. When HR function learns to functions in fullness, leading and showing the right paths to people things becomes easy.
