Hyderabad: Rajupalem Ujwal of Rangareddy district secured the top rank with a combined score of 97.66 in Eamcet-II for admissions into MBBS and dental courses for the academic year 2016-17. Boys secured six of the top ten ranks.

The second rank was secured by Kasam Aishwarya of Medak (97.66 per cent), third rank by Mudupulavemula Sai Sushrutha of Kurnool (97.61per cent), fourth rank by Venu Madhav Pinninti (97.53 per cent) and the fifth rank by M Ankith Reddy (97.36 per cent).

Out of 50,961 candidates, who appeared for the exam, as many as 47,644 qualified and ranks were awarded to 93.49 per cent of the candidates. Applicants can download their rank card from July 21.

Officials said the certificate verification process would be held from July 25 to 29 and for special category candidates it would be held on July 30 and 31. The results of Eamcet-II were announced by Health Minister C Laxma Reddy here on Wednesday.

Addressing the media, the Minister said that a total of 1,780 MBBS convener quota seats were available in Telangana State with 1,060 seats in government colleges and 720 in private medical colleges. There are 640 BDS seats, including 140 in government and 500 in private dental colleges across the State, he said.

Eamcet-II convenor N V Ramana Rao said the OMR answer sheets would be on display at http://med.tseamcet.in from July 16 to 19 till 5 pm. Candidates, who wish to submit representation about any discrepancy in the evaluation of the OMR answer sheet, should pay an amount of Rs 5,000 (Rs 2,000 in case of SCs and STs) and submit the representation on the website. The payment can be made through a payment gateway from July 16 to 19, he said.
