Warangal: The daughter of a poor auto driver, Navya, who has secured 4857th rank in the medicine stream of EAMCET, is finding it difficult to raise the required money to pursue higher study. She has proved that poverty is no hindrance for getting educated, by striving hard for 20 hours a day.

In this tough journey of life she has come to be identified as a would be doctor (who wants to become a cardiologist), although being the daughter of Sarangapani and Renuka, who belong to a poor family. Her elder sister is studying engineering; younger brother is doing Intermediate. Renuka is a labourer.

Sarangapani, who drives a hired auto, is striving hard so that his children don’t have to lead miserable lives, like the couple did so far. He had to raise loans to educate Navya. The couple’s toil did not go waste, as she achieved the good rank in EAMCET. Now the couple is worried how to raise money for her MBBS study, because of their poverty.

Navya told The Hans India that she wants to serve society by becoming a cardiologist. She is anguished that poverty has become an impediment in achieving her lofty ambition. Warangal West MLA Vinay Bhaskar extended financial assistance of Rs 15,000.

Residents of the district want the state government to come to the family’s rescue so that she can take up MBBS course. They have congratulated Sarangapani and Renuka for giving good education to their daughters and not discriminating against them.
