Gurgaon moms are Supermoms with a 'can do' attitude. MatriKiran School (http://www.matrikiran.in/) along with Gurgaon moms organized the first ever Mom-Child Book Club Event which endeavors the children to motivate and infuse the habit of reading. A Sahitya Akademi Awardee Anita Nair released a Children’s book ‘Muezza and Baby Jaan’: stories from the Quran at MatriKiran Junior school in Gurgaon.

“It was a wonderful morning interacting with both the Gurgaon Moms and their kids and reaffirmed my faith in what I have always believed in that both the school and parents play a pivotal role in brings books and stories closer to children” said Anita Nair a bestselling widely acclaimed novelist of ‘The Better Man’ & ‘Ladies Coupé and Mistress’ which have been translated into over thirty languages around the world.

"Students of MatriKiran are voracious readers! They really enjoyed interacting with Ms Nair. Students asked Ms Nair some extremely thoughtful questions." said Jyoti Guha, Principal, MatriKiran School Gurgaon.

“When you talk about education in Gurgaon, and you can see the blossoming culture of learning by hand, and overall development, or more sophisticatedly, 'the holistic approach'. I had never heard of this phrase until I started looking for a good school for my son” said Shipra Jain one of the Gurgaon moms.

The event witnessed active participation from all the students present and was a great success.
