Visakhapatnam: President of All India Dalita Hakkula Federation Kandula Ananda Rao demanded that both the State and Central governments fulfill the constitutional responsibility of filling up of SC, ST and BC backlog posts.At a round-table organised here on Thursday under the aegis of Visakha District Dalitha Sanghala Aikya Vedika, Ananda Rao alleged that majority of backlog posts in the Centre and the state were piled up following the official apathy of governments.
He said that the lives of the poor and the downtrodden became miserable with the growing unemployment problem and the political parties which came to ruling with an assurance of providing lakhs of jobs, failed to fulfil the election-eve promise.
He flayed that the governments were neglecting Rule of Reservation while filling up of vacant posts, pushing many vacant posts belonging to the downtrodden into the backlog list.
Vedika convener and DHPS state secretary B Venkata Rao alleged that the state government has been still delaying to fulfil its election-eve promise of payment of unemployment allowance in the pretext of Cabinet Sub-Committee reports.
He demanded that a sum of not less than Rs 12,000 a month should be paid towards unemployment allowance cum stipend giving priority for SC, ST and BC unemployed persons. Chinna Rao, Dr Shouran Raju, I D Babu, Dr Adams, R V Ramana, M Satyanarayana, M Srinivasa Rao, B Gopal Rao, K Subbanna, Ommi Ramana, Anji Babu and others took part.
