The Baptist Union of North India (BUNI) along with Delhi District Baptist Union (DDBU), was swept by the Yuletide spirit with Christmas fervor, witnessed all across BCTA (Baptist Church Trust Association) ground where Mr. Avtar Singh, Councilor, North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) was the guest of honour.

Delhi: The Baptist Union of North India (BUNI) along with Delhi District Baptist Union (DDBU), was swept by the Yuletide spirit with Christmas fervor, witnessed all across BCTA (Baptist Church Trust Association) ground where Mr. Avtar Singh, Councilor, North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) was the guest of honour.

In Delhi eight schools run under BUNI, out of which around 4000 students enjoyed the celebration where parents were also invited. The students along with their teachers put up as many as 50 stalls which included everything from games to food.

“This community believes in prayer and always stands for the well-being of the society. I am very happy to be the part this festival, because the children here are helping the one who are deprived of education and opportunities: they are also enjoying this festival. I am also ready to help you all,” said Avtar Singh, Councilor, NDMC.

“BCTA has always believed in spreading happiness through sharing and the joy of giving. Celebrating the same spirit we organised a Carnival as a part of Christmas celebrations and hope Jesus full fill the desire of everyone present here,” Sumeet Nath, Secretariat Treasurer, BCTA.

The programme began with welcome speech followed by a Christmas carol. The students gave a benevolent touch to the entire celebration by sharing their joy with under-privileged children of neighboring areas.

The biggest attraction of the celebration was a lucky draw for which many attracting prizes were also distributed. In the culmination of the celebrations, Santa distributed sweets among people.

The carnival was not a mere celebration time for the children but it was organized for a cause and all the money collected was donated to underprivileged children of the society. Many other dignitaries present in the occasion were from the Christian Community who were the part of this carnival.
