Kokuyo Camlin rings in `Children’s Day’ with series of events
Kokuyo Camlin, the pioneers and leading marketers of art material, kicked off its `Children’s Day’ celebrations with a series of events being held across Mumbai and Kolkata. In Mumbai,
Mumbai : Kokuyo Camlin, the pioneers and leading marketers of art material, kicked off its `Children’s Day’ celebrations with a series of events being held across Mumbai and Kolkata. In Mumbai, Kokuyo Camlin organized art competitions in two prominent schools in Bandra – St Andrew’s High School and St Stanislaus High School. Well-known film actress Sagarika Ghatge was the chief guest at these competitions held at both schools. Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th November on Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday.
School children from both these schools participated in the art competition on the theme – `Green Heroes’ on November 8th 2017. More than 500 students participated in this activity in both schools. `Green Heroes’ as the theme suggests, showcased the creativity and imaginative skills of these `Green Heroes’ in creating reusable items made out of waste products. Actress Sagarika Ghatge selected eight winners from each school.
As part of the Children’s Day festivities, Kokuyo Camlin joined hands with the CRY Foundation, and got over 100 underprivileged children to visit KidZania, the global indoor theme park in Mumbai. There were fun-filled activities that were organized for these children. The children participated in a quiz competition and received Camlin goodies. They had a whale of time at the Camlin Art & Craft Studio at KidZania; and enjoyed themselves painting. The kids also had some delicious lunch and were quite happy with their Camlin goodie packets. All in all it was a fun and pleasurable experience for these children
The Children’s Day celebration will continue in Kolkata, wherein Kokuyo Camlin along with Xquizit Quiz team is going to conduct a FunQ Event in Gyan Manj auditorium in Kolkata on November 10th 2017. Students will have to answer 26 questions in an A to Z answering format. That is, the answer to the first question starts with an A, the second one with B and so on till the last one which starts with Z. Top 8 teams will qualify for the finals and there will be a total of 6 rounds in the finals. Ultimately top 3 teams will be awarded with Kokuyo Camlin goodies.
Speaking on the Children’s Day celebration, Saumitra Prasad, Chief Marketing Officer, Kokuyo Camlin Ltd said, “Children have always been our most special audience, so this time for Children’s Day we decided to go all out with a bunch of activities spread over the whole week. I would like to thank CRY Foundation, KidZania St Andrew’s High School and St Stanislaus High School and Xquizit Quiz Team for their active participation and support for this activity. The kids had a great time participating in all the activities and I wish all the kids a very Happy Children’s Day.”
On another note, Kokuyo Camlin announced the National Winners of the `Rally for Rivers’ creative writing competition on the theme `Saving Rivers: India’s Lifeline’. The creative writing contest was part of the `Rally For Rivers’ campaign which was envisaged by Sadhguru, Founder of Isha Foundation to creating awareness among all Indians on the rapid depletion of rivers across India. The 3 National Winners of the creative writing competition were awarded prize money of Rs 25,000 by Chief Marketing Officer of Kokuyo Camlin, Saumitra Prasad. More than three lakh students from across 1500 schools in 26 cities in India had participated in this creative writing competition.
