​Visakhapatnam: GITAM Pro Vice-Chancellor and GITAM School of International Business (GSIB) Director Prof K Sivarama Krishna said that the GITAM University is hosting Chief Human Resource Officers (CHRO) National Conclave on November 24 on the theme “Leading through Disruption” in association with Global Workforce Management (GWFM) organisation.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Sivarama Krishna said that the prominent industries, corporate companies are participating in the conclave to address the HR professionals on current scenario of HR. The CHRO conclave is also focussing on issues like talent wars, re-tooling HR with specialty disciplines that can help manage complexity, expanding HR portfolio, challenges, he added.

CHRO Conclave -2018 Convenor Prof.Raja P.Pappu informed that the placement officers from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka are also participating in the conclave to interact with HR professionals. Global Workforce Management (GWFM) organisation Founder R.Shiva Kumar, Co-Founder Partho Ganguly mentioned that new states like Andhra Pradesh must know the contemporary requirement of the industry and corporate to widen the opportunities.

Many times there has been a gap between the skill set of the workforce and expectations of the company and the present CHRO conclave would address the problem and bring the HR leaders and prospective recruiters together under the same roof, he added. CHRO conclave -2018 Co-Convenor Prof.D.Ravinath informed that the GITAM School of International Business (GSIB) and GWFM jointly organising this conclave for the benefit of academicians and students.
