Currently, the monsoon is strong in Telangana and Coastal AP as rain occurred at many places over Coastal AP, TS and Rayalaseema. Heavy rainfall of 15 cm and 14 cm was recorded in Warangal and Khammam district respectively in TS while in Coastal AP the maximum rainfall received was of 11 cm in Amalapuram in East Godavari.


Heavy rains were also recorded in Visakhapatnam, Krishna, Vijayawada and East Godavari districts. Due to the rain, the Sabari River in East Godavari region, Mulugu rivulets and rivulets in Nalagonda have been overflowing. The next two days is expected to witness heavy rains over isolated places in northern Coastal AP according to the IMD officials.


As the Godavari river received floodwaters on Friday, the revenue officials heaved a sigh of relief with the water level of Godavari reaching 14 ft at Bhadrachalam.


Rain Forecast for next 72 hours:


Coastal Andhra Pradesh: Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, East Godavari, Krishna, Nellore, Prakasam and Guntur.


Telangana: Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Khammam and Warangal.
