In Telangana, rains will continue in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Warangal Khammam and Nalgonda while in AP, rains will lash in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, East Godavari, West Godavari, Guntur and Krishna.
Strong winds are expected upto 55 kmph along the AP coast due to the low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal leading into a depression. This season, Hyderabad witnessed 111 percent more rainfall than usual which is 4.9 cm taking the present level to 10.5cm.
Warangal recorded the highest rainfall with 16.8cm in Telangana while East Godavari, West Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Krishna districts in AP recorded rainfall between 7 cm and 17.5 cm. According to the IMD, the southwest monsoon is active over Telangana and vigorous over coastal AP.
