The Met department bulletin on Monday warned of heavy rain lashing all Telangana districts at isolated places on September 20 and 21, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra coast lies over the west-central & north-west Bay and the adjoining coastal areas of south Odisha and north Andhra.

​Hyderabad: The Met department bulletin on Monday warned of heavy rain lashing all Telangana districts at isolated places on September 20 and 21, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra coast lies over the west-central & north-west Bay and the adjoining coastal areas of south Odisha and north Andhra.

Also, the trough from Odisha to south Tamil Nadu across the coastal districts is persisting. These factors will bring light to moderate rain/thundershowers at many places in Telangana from September 20 to 23.During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday, rain occurred at isolated places in Warangal, Adilabad, Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts, with Nallabelly (Warangal) recording 6 cm of rainfall.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in the State were: Khanapur (Adilabad) 5 cm, Nizamabad 4 cm, Bheemadevarpalle (Karimnagar), Jakranpalle (Nizamabad) and Pegadapalle (Karimnagar) 3 cm each. There was 2 cm of rain each in Bejjanki, Narsampet, Hasanparthy, Mallial, Bonakal, Karimnagar and Utnur. One cm rain each was recorded in Dharmasagar, Kondurg, Shayampet, Ramagundam, Luxettipet, Hanamkonda, Mudhole, Kothagudem, Sircilla, Huzurabad, Parkal,
Julapalle and Gudur.
