As the 2018 FIFA World Cup gears up for the opening match in just seven days, FIFA confirmed that football fans have bought over 2.4 Million tickets.

As the 2018 FIFA World Cup gears up for the opening match in just seven days, FIFA confirmed that football fans have bought over 2.4 Million tickets.

The sales which began in September 2017, have so far sold 2,403,116 tickets with most of them going to Russian fans (871,797). Next is fans from the USA (88,825) followed by Brazil (72,512), Colombia (65,234), Germany (62,541), Mexico (60,302), Argentina (54,031), Peru (43,583), China (40,251), Australia (36,359) and England (32,362).

The figures are, however, subject to change as the last minute sales are ongoing until 15 July.

Keeping in view of the heavy international demand, FIFA is making available more than 100,000 tickets, which were previously reserved for other FIFA constituent groups at FIFA.com/tickets on June 8, 23:00 Moscow time (22:00 Central European Time) for the football fans.

Due to the high demand, the fans are advised to place their orders as soon as tickets go on sale.
