1998 World Cup - Netherlands Vs Argentina - Dennis Bergkamp
In the Quarter Finals of the tournament, the game was tied at 1-1 when Dennis Bergkamp magnificently scored the goal booking Netherland’s place in the Semi-finals of the World Cup.
1986 World Cup - Argentina Vs England - Diego Maradona
While Diego Maradona’s goal against England in the Quarterfinals is one of the most popular ones, another goal of his against England that night is called 'goal of the century'.
In the 56th minute of the game, Maradona scored the goal leaving every England player lying on the ground, booking Argentina a place in the Semi-finals.
1970 World Cup - Italy Vs West Germany - Riviera
In the most entertaining Semi-final ever in the history, Italy and West Germany drew the game 2-2 in the 90 minutes. Later, the third goal was scored in the 109th minute for West Germany making it 3-3.
However, in the 111th minute, Riviera scored the 4th goal for Italy making the score 4:3 booking their place in the finals of the tournament.
1966 World Cup - England Vs West Germany - Geoffrey Hurst
Geoffrey Hurst is one of the reasons England landed their World Cup. In the final, England faced West Germany with the game ending as a draw in the first 90 minutes. In the extra time, Geoffrey gave England the lead after scoring a controversial goal and later scored a hattrick in the finals as England lifted the World Cup for the first and last time.
1986 World Cup - Argentina Vs England - Diego Maradona
Once again featuring in the list is Diego Maradona who scored a goal by using his hand in the quarterfinals match against England. The goal scored in the 51st minute of the game is called the ‘God of Hand’ goal. Argentina went onto lift the World Cup that year.
