Los Angeles: Female celebrities make many a fashion statement on red carpets for award ceremonies, and this year, the deep side part hairstyle is big on the social circuit.

The style, where the hair is swept to one side and then can be tied in different ways in a plait or bun, lends a sleek look and it flatters the overall look when paired with a gown, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

If Emma Watson, Julianna Margulies, Sandra Bullock and Emma Roberts tried the look at the Golden Globe Awards, at the Critics' Choice Awards, it was flaunted by Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams and Cate Blanchett.

Emma wore a deep side part with the rest of her hair slicked back into a simple bun, whereas Blanchett at the Golden Globes chose to style the rest of hair into a soft faux bob.

Sandra wore her deep side part with a low ponytail. Kaley Cuoco also tried the look at the Golden Globe Awards with her straight locks swept over one shoulder.
