During the road show, the party constituency convener Nartu Narendra Yadav got ready for a display of his strength. While the road show was on, his brother, along 100 supporters, came face to face with Jagan’s convoy, raising slogans in support of Yadav’s leadership. However, his efforts to allow for a chat with the party chief did not materialize. Sensing trouble, police intervened and sent the younger Yadav and his followers away.
Later Jagan continued the road show on the national highway, touching Silagam Junction, Judupudi Junction, Adivaramsanta Junction, Korlam Junction. This marked the conclusion of the two-day tour. His activity was limited to only conversations with the crowd, in view of the election code. Earlier, the YSRCP leader held discussions on the political situation in Ichchapuram with leaders and the constituency activists at the venue, where he has been staying. Former MLA Piriya Sairaj is said to have gone into a sulk, following a delay in extending invitation to him to take part in the discussions. The hopes of local leaders that group rows would subside with Jagan’s visit were said to have been dashed.
