TJAC poll strategy today

Hyderabad: The Telangana JAC has convened a crucial meeting on Monday to discuss about the strategy to be adopted in upcoming general elections.

The meeting will be held at TNGO Bhavan in Nampally from 2 pm onwards.

TJAC chairman Prof Kodandaram, co-chairman Mallepalli Lakshmaiah and other key members including G Deviprasad, C Vittal, M Rajender Reddy, K Raghu are expected to take part.

Talking to The Hans India, Kodandaram said that they would mainly discuss about implementation of JAC vision document and prepare an action plan. JAC’s stand and other issues will also be discussed, he said.

However, it is learnt that TJAC will not support any party in the ensuing elections. Nonetheless, it will make an appeal to people not to vote for Telugu Desam and YSR Congress for ‘belittling’ statehood aspirations of people during the last five years.

It will also urge voters to back contestants, who did their bit in the statehood movement besides having clean image and commitment.

JAC will not name any body in particular but will appeal to voters not to back contestants who belied their expectations.
