Vijayamma exhorts people to back Jagan, reject Naidu

Vijayawada: YSR Congress honorary president Y S Vijayamma on Tuesday appealed to people to support YSR Congress and its president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to ensure continuation of the welfare programmes of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. Vijayamma addressed the party workers and the people during her campaign in Gannavaram and Nuzvid Assembly constituencies on Tuesday, the second day of her electioneering in Krishna district. She said that people have been put to several hardships during the last four years, particularly after the death of Dr Rajasekhar Reddy. The welfare programmes were either cut in size or totally withdrawn slowly, she said and stressed that the schemes of Dr Rajasekhar Reddy would be revived with Jaganmohan Reddy becoming the chief minister of the State. Vijayamma also addressed the election campaign at Agiripalli of Nuzvid Assembly constituency and appealed to them to support the YSR Congress candidates in the elections. The party Nuzvid Assembly Constituency nominee and former legislator Meka Pratap Apparao, Eluru Lok Sabha constituency candidate Thota Chandrasekhar and others were present.
