Ghulam Nabi Azad: ‘Colonial’ Rule Will Prevail if BJP WinsGhulam Nabi Azad: ‘Colonial’ Rule Will Prevail if BJP Wins, the country would witness ‘colonial rule’ again if the BJP came to power.
Nizamabad: Congress leader and Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the country would witness ‘colonial rule’ again if the BJP came to power. He addressed a series of meetings in Banswada and Nizamabad urban constituency segments on Sunday. He said the ‘communal’ BJP was indulging in vote bank politics and called upon the people to vote for the secular Congress. He said the BJP was trying to mislead the people by claiming that there was tremendous development in Gujarat under Modi. He exuded confidence that the Congress would again come to power at the Centre and in the State. If the people voted for the TDP, it would amount to voting for the BJP, he cautioned.
Azad urged the people not to hand over the newly formed Telangana State to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. If the TRS was voted to power, there would be no security to the people and family rule would prevail, he said. KCR was a person who would not stick to his promise as he had failed to fulfil his promise to the Congress. He was trying to become the Chief Minister even though he promised to make Dalit the first Chief Minister of Telangana and a minority candidate the Deputy Chief Minister, he alleged. He asked the people to show their gratitude to UPA chairperson Sonia by voting for the Congress. Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki, DCC president Taher Bin Hamdan, MLC D Rajeswar, Nizamabad urban Congress candidate Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud, Banwada Congress candidate Kasula Balraj, Nizamabad town president Kesha Venu and others participated in the meetings.
