YSR Congress dubs Pawan a ‘mad crow’

Hyderabad: Launching a stringent counter attack on film actor and Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan for his jibes and outbursts against YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy, YSR Congress party on Thursday described him as a ‘mad crow’ basking in the glorification of the parties and leaders that facilitated bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the press here, party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said that it was only Jagan who tried his best and fought till the last to keep the state united by meeting leaders of national and regional political parties while BJP and TDP helped Congress bifurcate the state in the most unjustified manner. Strongly objecting to the actor’s remarks that Telangana agitation took shape during the former Chief Minister YS Rajasekahra Reddy’s regime, she said the ignorant actor should know the facts before speaking. “It was YSR who strongly opposed division and made strong efforts to stop the division,” she said, asking Pawan to study the Sri Krishna Committee report which clearly said that the desire among the Telangana people for a separate state stemmed during TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu regime.

“Where were you sleeping while the Congress was dividing the state with the unstinted support of BJP and TDP? And what happened to your Telugu pride?” Padma questioned the Jana Sena leader.
