Visakhapatnam: BJP spokesman and in-charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs Prakash Javdekar feels that Lok Sabha elections in the State is to the advantage of the party since Narendra Modi is looked to at the Centre.

In a chat with media persons here on Friday, he said barring Andhra Pradesh and Odisha where the Assembly elections are held simultaneously, it is Parliament polls all over. “That’s why Mamata Banerjee is fretting and fuming. They say it was enough if Didi is elected to the Assembly as they want Modi at the Centre. Same is the case in Uttar Pradesh. Mayavati’s supporters want her for the State but prefer Modi at Delhi,” he claimed.
The Congress party is rudderless. There is no Prime Ministerial candidate campaigning for the party. Everywhere it is Modi mantra, he said.
Asked how he could rule out the Congress in Telangana, Javdekar said he saw a triangular fight—Congress, BJP-TDP combine and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti. All the three have close to 30 per cent of votes.
On the claim of TRS that it would win 90 seats to the Telangana Assembly, he said that his feedback was different and it will be easy for TRS.
In Seemandhra, Congress was hovering around a lowly 20 per cent and did not stand a chance. The YSR Congress Party is almost in a straight fight with the TDP-BJP nominees, he said.
