Seemandhra can prosper only under TDP-BJP: Pawan

Tanuku/Narasapuram/Rajahmundry: Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, while making light of threats that he claimed he was receiving, said at Narasapuram in West Godavari district that he would not be deterred by any such calls.

Pawan Kalyan said people of Telangana were vexed with YSR Congress President Jaganmohan Reddy and his followers who had usurped lands in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas.

This caused people of Telangana to fight for a separate State. Alleging that Jagan was responsible for the division, the Jana Sena President said the State division would not have taken place without the support extended by Jaganmohan Reddy.

The Jana Sena Chief also said that if Jaganmohan Reddy became the Chief Minister, the fertile Godavari districts would turn into places for land-grabbing while bomb culture would spread its tentacles.

Addressing a public meeting at Tanuku, he alleged that former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy looted the State during his rule, which had led to the bifurcation.

The actor pointed out that following the State split, the Congress has been wiped out from Seemandhra. He announced that he would contest in 2019 elections. He said that he would not tolerate if injustice is caused to people and he would not be perturbed even if somebody attacks him.

Pawan said he has decided to extend support to Chandrababu Naidu to ensure a bright future for Seemandhra. He said the Seemandhra problems can be resolved if Modi comes to power at the Centre and Naidu in Seemandhra. He said the TDP-BJP combine would provide a corruption-free rule. He cautioned people not to vote for YSRCP as the party leaders would loot the State.

Later, addressing a rally at Subrahmanyam Maidan at Rajahmundry, he wondered why KCR does not criticize YSR family and alleged that there is collusion between the two families. Pawan termed both YSRCP and TRS as two sides of the same coin and questioned KCR for threatening Seemandhra people instead of criticizing YSR who destroyed Telangana.

He wondered why Jagan had failed to respond when KCR threatened Seemandhra people and made it clear that Jagan who could not protect the self-respect of Seemandhra people.

Pawan Kalyan said that the agitation for Telangana surfaced due to wrongdoings of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

TDP candidate for Rajahmundry Parliamentary segment M Murali Mohan, BJP Rajahmundry city Assembly constituency candidate Dr Akula Satyanarayana and TDP Rajahmundry rural Assembly segment nominee Gorantla Satyanarayana were present on the occasion.
