Zilla Parishad students learn leadership skills. Tejas Foundation in association with Toastmasters, Hyderabad, conducted the first session of Youth Leadership Program (YLP) in Moosapet Zilla Parishad Girls’ High School on Sunday.
Tejas Foundation in association with Toastmasters, Hyderabad, conducted the first session of Youth Leadership Program (YLP) in Moosapet Zilla Parishad Girls’ High School on Sunday. 34 girls, whose education is sponsored by Tejas Foundation, from Classes VII, IX and polytechnic participated in the leadership session which aims at improving their communication and leadership skills.
The students were explained about how to select a topic and prepare a speech on it. At the end of first session, the girls learnt to deliver a speech in public without any fear. The leadership lessons were delivered in Telugu and manuals were also distributed to the students.
In the upcoming sessions, the class will be encouraged to participate in impromptu speaking sessions and debates. By the end of eight sessions, the workshop plans to have all the 34 participants give at least two speeches each.
