The film unit of 'Jai Bolo Telanagana,' released in 2011 about the Telangana movement, celebrated the announcement of a separate Telangana state in Hyderabad on Monday at Film Chamber. Film personalities, politicians and social activists joined the celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, director Shankar said that even if states are divided, people need not feel divided. "It is time to build a strong and prosperous Telugu land," said revolutionary singer Gaddar.

"Telangana is a result of blood toil and sweat of several poets, writers and artistes. Telugu film industry should and shall flourish. The Telangana leaders promised to help the Telugu industry despite the state division. Actor Jagapathi Babu got emotional during the event and said, “This is the best movie in my 25-year career. Although I received some threats during the shooting of the movie, I went ahead to shoot amidst thousands of Telangana people in Warangal,” he added.

There is no reason for the film industry to feel insecure in Telangana, assured KT Rama Rao, member of Telangana Rashtra Samithi and MLA for Siricilla Assembly Constituency. “We will ensure that the bifurcation of the state will not affect the pace or quality of Telugu movies. By keeping the capital city safe and peaceful, we will ensure the industry works at its own pace,” he said. Others top producers such as C Kalyan and Dil Raju were also present at the event.
