358 cases booked for violating road rules in just a week

Cyberabad Police booked as many as 358 cases against violators of motor vehicle rules during a special intensive drive conducted at Outer Ring Road (ORR). The police mopped up Rs 2,94,600 as fine for traffic violations. Interestingly, this huge amount was collected in just a week’s time between June 7 and 13.

According to police, the drive was conducted from June 7 to June 13 and during this period five patrolling vehicles were pressed into service from Peddamberpet to Shamirpet through Shamshabad. A total of 358 cases were booked. Out of these, 95 cases were for wrong parking and 263 for driving on the wrong side.

The police requested the public to adhere to rules made for ORR and call 040-23002424/8500411111 (Cyberabad Traffic Police Control Room) in case of any emergency.

The police said that such drives would continue to curb traffic violations and drunken driving.
