Iqbal retains Minority Welfare Commissioner's post

SM Iqbal will retain the post of Commissioner of Minority Welfare. It must be recalled that after the term of Wakf Board ended, the government had appointed Shaikh Mohammed Ibqal as special officer.

Earlier this week, religious personalities, along with some public representatives, called on the Chief Minister to appoint a new special officer. Objecting to the modus operandi of present special officer, they demanded appointment of any other officer belonging to Telangana. But the government has rejected their appeal.
