The position for the secretary of Minority Welfare Department is in a fix. As Ahmed Nadeem, excise probation commissioner, who was given the additional charge of secretary of minority welfare, took a long leave from September 22 to October 4 the duties of the secretary were transferred to Dr T Radha. Although Ahmed Nadeem has resumed charge the government has not assigned him in-charge of the Minority Welfare Department. As per the rules, after resuming work after a long leave, the government issues fresh orders regarding additional charge. But no such orders were issued in the case of Ahmed Nadeem. Interestingly, Dr Radha now refuses to sign the files of the department saying that Ahmed Nadeem has resumed duty and that he is no more authorised to sign the files.
