Andhra Pradesh Assembly deputy speaker Mandali Buddha Prasad has appealed to writers to focus on research oriented books after releasing a poetry compilation ‘Jagaddhartri’.
Speaking on the occasion, Buddha Prasad wanted writers to do some research on the language and culture of the Telugu people. He also wanted publishers to encourage such writing as it would preserve the rich culture of the people for future generations. He favoured translation of books from other languages as that would add values to the Telugu culture and give Telugu people a chance to learn the best from others. He congratulated Chinuku Publications for promoting Telugu language and culture.
Buddha Prasad handed over the first copy of the book to NRI couple Pusarla Jagannadham. Tadikonda legislator T Sravan Kumar, Chinuku associate editor L Janardhan, Sri Sri Sahitya Nidhi convener Ashok Kumar, senior journalist G Upendra Babu, critic K Ramamohana Roy, writer Hymavathi, poet M Srinivasa Rao and others were present at the event.
