Hyderabadto Get 80 New Volvo Buses Today. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch new Volvo buses in the city on Saturday. A fleet of eighty buses will ply over four busy routes .
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will launch new Volvo buses in the city on Saturday. A fleet of eighty buses will ply over four busy routes .
Presently, 3,777 buses are running on city roads, carrying almost 35 lakh passengers to their destination. The new Volvo buses will have CCTV cameras, GPS tracking to inform the passengers, cell charging points, sound proof glasses and electro pneumatic doors. Special arrangement of footboard kneeling has been done for physically challenged people for easy boarding.
The buses are named as Metro Luxury as they are equipped with all the modern facilities such as air conditioning and stereo. These buses are being introduced in four major routes: Dilsukhnagar to Lingampalli via Kothi, Abids, Khairatabad, Ameerpet (Route No 218); Uppal to Waverock via Ramanthapur, Nallakunta, Lakdikapul, Darga, IIIT (Route No 113M/W); Kothi to Patencheru via Nampally, Masab Tank, LV Prasad, Kondapur (Route No 222); ECIL to Waverock via Tarnaka, Secunderabad Station, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Hitec City (Route No 17H/10W).
