Two days of revelry, pervasive fashion and a mélange of musical acts ended on a high note at the Maruti Suzuki Windsong Festival held over the weekend at the Boulder Golf & Country Club. India’s ‘fresh air, blue skies and your favourite song festival\' launched in the city of Nizams with a bang.

Two days of revelry, pervasive fashion and a mélange of musical acts ended on a high note at the Maruti Suzuki Windsong Festival held over the weekend at the Boulder Golf & Country Club. India’s ‘fresh air, blue skies and your favourite song festival' launched in the city of Nizams with a bang. The second edition of the three-city music festival witnessed an incredible turn out of music lovers from not just Hyderabad but also surrounding cities.

Day 1 saw acts like Junkyard Groove, Lagori, Indian Ocean on the main stage while Kanan Gill, Skrat, Neethusha, F-16s performed on the Garage Stage. A major draw on day 2 was Leslie Lewis, Farhan Akhtar, Swarathma on the main stage while Kenny Sebastian, Shraddha Sharma, Prateek Kuhad featured on the Garage Stage. The wild after parties held at Over The Moon saw Jitter on Day 1 and BLOT! on Day 2 and were worth an applause. Mumbai’s Farhan Akhtar and Lesle Lewis got a standing ovation to their Bollywood singles while pioneering fusion rock act from New Delhi, Indian Ocean, mesmerised the fans with their heartwarming all-time classics.

Bengaluru stand-up comedians Kenny Sebastian and Kanan Gill had the audience in splits with their rib-tickling one-liner punches. New York-based Prateek Kuhad’s acoustic set complemented the weather while 15 year Youtube sensation Shraddha Sharma won a lot of hearts. The F16s from Chennai played a high energy set accompanied with an eccentric performance. Lagori from Bengaluru, Junkyard Groove from Chennai and Swarathma blended folk, fusion and rock in a seamless manner and set the stage ablaze. The very chic Neethusha Cherckal got the young lads swaying to her pop renditions.

In all, this edition of the festival was undoubtedly a success with a vast variety of cutting edge genres, an almost fitting line-up and an attendance which accounted for five thousand people over two days.
