Students of Westin College of Hotel Management have come forward to do their bit to the society by donating their blood. A blood donation camp was organised at the college on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, college principal P Chandra Sekhar lauded the initiative of students in organising the blood donation camp as part of their annual events. Dr Kiranmayee of the Government General Hospital (GGH) along with lab technician Jyothsna and other medical staff conducted the blood donation camp.

MLA Gadde Ramamohan, who inaugurated the camp, appreciated the noble gesture of students and the college management. He exhorted students to promote awareness about blood donation among people as it saves lives during medical emergencies. About 150 units of blood was collected at the camp. The collected blood was handed over to the GGH. College director K Durga Prasad and faculty members were present.
