Following Capcom's recent announcement that upcoming fighting game Street Fighter V will be released exclusively for PlayStation 4 on console, top Xbox boss Phil Spencer has vowed to "make amends" to Xbox One fans.

Responding on Twitter to a fan who said they could forget about Street Fighter V not coming to Xbox One if Microsoft would deliver a new Banjo-Kazooie or Conker game, Spencer replied, "Love the idea of game franchise bartering, I'll work on making amends for SF."

Spencer did not share any further details regarding how he'll go about making it up to fans.

Commenting earlier this week on Capcom's decision to bring Street Fighter V exclusively to PS4 for its console release, Spencer said that it's just business and part of competition. The exclusivity news was particularly noteworthy, however, given predecessor Street Fighter IV was released across PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

Microsoft has snapped up a similar exclusive deal with Rise of the Tomb Raider, which will be released in 2015 as a timed-exclusive for Xbox One after its 2013 predecessor came to both console families.

After a trailer for the game arrived ahead of schedule, Street Fighter V was officially announced on December 6 during Sony's PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas. The game, which is also coming to PC, will support cross-platform play between PS4 and PC. Capcom has not announced a release date.
