Hyderabad: Panchaloha idols belonging to 16th century were stolen from Venkateshwara Swamy temple in Injapur in Ranga Reddy district under Vanasthalipuram police station limits.

According to the police, the idols were stolen during the intervening night of February 8 and 9 as the temple remained closed on Sunday. In the early morning, priest noticed the idols missing when he opened the 400-year-old temple for daily rituals.

The priest along with the village elders complained to the police, who reached the spot for investigation. It is believed that the idols have great value in international market.
