Jagan lagging behind Pawan on Twitter

Twitter has become the much sought after platform for celebrities to connect with fans and express their opinion on current topics. Many Tweets of celebrities are picked up and debated upon by the media. YSR Congress Party chief and opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy recently revived his Twitter account on February 26 whose handle is named @ysjagan. Through a tweet, the opposition leader questioned the rationale behind acquisition of thousands of acres of agricultural land by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for the construction of capital of Andhra Pradesh.

However Jagan, who is termed as a crowd puller in the political arena, could attract 30,000 followers only in a week. In all, he has around 76,000 followers. Though the followers of Jagan’s account is increasing, it is not at the rate of film star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan who has 3,08,000 followers.

Pawan Kalyan took Twitter by storm with a single tweet when he started account @pawankalyan on January 1. Within three hours, the account was followed by as many as 33,900 twitter users. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who has been in Twitter for quite a long time, has over 5,52,000 followers. He is the only politician in AP to have so many followers till date.
