Listening skills, quick decision making ability and time management were vital for upcoming managers, said Prof. AV Subbarao of Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, Canada.

He was speaking at ‘Kurukshetra – 2015’, a meet for management students organised by the PG department of business administration of PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science on Thursday.Siddhartha Academy president N Venkateswarlu said that students should focus on enhancing their knowledge by attending seminars and workshops on various current topics, besides regular studies.
MBA programme director Rajesh C Jampala said the annual event was being organised at the college for the past two decades. “It is a great learning experience for the participants. The lectures of top corporate executives will help students develop their personality,” he said.
Event co-ordinator Md S Rahman said Business Quiz, Young Manager, Stock Simulation Game, HR event, paper presentation and cultural events were organised as part of `Kurukshetra-2015’ in which 55 student teams from various colleges in the State participated.PG Centre director K Krishna Murthy, heads of departments and faculty members were present.
