Vignan University Electrical Engineering Students have invented a cost-effective and energy efficient water cooler with a capacity to cool one tonne of water within no time. Competitively the cooler has an edge over others in the market. The main features of the cooler is that it consumes less power and takes only half the time over coolers available in the market.

Students pose along with their invention

Students developed technology using a compressor, copper coil and fan motor to control the heat. It has a two-year warranty and costed Rs 27,000 for the students to develop the device. Head of Department of Electrical Engineering Dr Durga Sukumar, chancellor Rama Murthy Naidu, vice chancellor C Thangaraju and registrar MS Raghunathan congratulated the students for their invention.
