It was an amazing few minutes when KCR offered me a seat and enquired about my future.

I told him that I wanted to become a pilot officer and bring glory to Telangana,” beamed Sanjana who is cloud nine after the incident. The 18-year-old is currently training to become a pilot officer at an academy in the city. Sanjana was born in Kowdipally village in Medak where she studied up to class four and later shifted to Hyderabad where she completed her Intermediate. At the plenary, KCR promised to help Sanjana to realise her dreams of flying high.

Incidentally this is not the first time that both have shared a stage. When Sanjana was hardly 4-years-old, she became an ardent follower of KCR and managed to attend all the TRS functions. She used to raise slogans sitting on KCR’s lap earning her nicknames such as ‘Telangana Kokila’ and ‘Gulabi Bala’. Detailing her passion to fly, Sanjana said, “I wanted to choose a career which is unique.

I love to fly high and the feeling of passing through the clouds is fascinating. Being a pilot is a rare opportunity especially for a woman.” “I want to become the first woman pilot and will aim to keep the Telangana flag flying high,” she concluded.
