Swachh Hyd to embark on massive plan
On an average the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) lifts 3,400 metric tonnes of garbage every day but during the Swachh Hyderabad campaign, the civic body has a target of lifting 11,000 tonnes of waste between May 16 and May 20.

Apart from this the GHMC is planning to coordinate with HMR, L&T and also major corporate organizations to provide heavy vehicles for lifting of the waste during the programme. The Commissioner said that the training is being imparted to 3,000 officials and public representatives.
After providing training at the Kukatpally JNTU and other organisations where City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy, HMWS&SB MD Jagdeeshwar, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar and senior officials from the electricity department will be take the programme forward.
