It was a treat to Qawali lovers of the city to experience Amjad Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi and Asad Zaheer Ahmed Khan Warsi of Qawwal Bachchay perform in Golconda Fort on Thursday night. The finesse of the recital reflected the training they received from their father Ustad Zaheer Ahmed Khan Warsi, who was a national awardee Qawwal and Hindustani Classical Singer.

Their grandfather Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi is world famous Qawwal and a recipient of Padmashree Amjad Aziz Ahmed and Asad Zaheer Ahmed are artistes of the Culture Department of Hyderabad and All India Radio. The artistes are known for performing in diverse languages like Hindi ,Punjabi ,Urdu, Persian, English and Arabic with lyrics of famous Sufi poets like Hzt Ameer Khusro, Maolana Rume, Hzt Shams Tabrez.
