A two-day robotics workshop on `iSensoBotz’ began at Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala in the city on yesterday. Participating in the workshop organised by the Department of Electronics, Bhushan Gandhi, a research engineer and trainer at ARK Technosolutions, Mumbai, explained the theory of iSensoBotz Robotics and its applications in food, packaging, material handling, automotive welding, painting and several other industries which need high level of sophistication and precision.
Robotics is also immensely useful in medicine, defence, space exploration and other fields of advanced technology, he said. Head of Department of Electronics K Gayatri said students would get a practical exposure to work on programming and designing on the second day of the robotics workshop.
