‘Surabhi family’ portrays the extraordinary world of Sri Venkateshwara Natya Mandali Surabhi, a family of sixty-five theatre artists who have a continued tradition of performing mythological plays for more than 128 years. Duhaut met the Surabhi family in the year 2011 and was moved by the family’s struggle.

‘I started making films professionally twenty years ago. My first documentary, named ‘Digambar’, emerged as a runner up for the best documentary at the international film festival in Nyons, Switzerland. Later I founded ‘Aur Kya’ (What Else) film production,” said Duhaut.
